By creating an account on Patchwork, you agree to the following terms:
Age Requirement
You have to experience at least 13 revolutions around the sun to use Patchwork. This is required under Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, which says don't collect personal information from youngins under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Patchwork does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consented to these terms on your behalf.
Your Content
You retain full ownership of content you create on Patchwork. By posting content, you grant Patchwork a non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute it within the platform as necessary to operate the service. You are responsible for ensuring your own content does not infringe on the copyrights and trademarks of persons that aren't you.
Patchwork complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on Patchwork infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated agent - Admin. Your notice must include:
Identification of the copyrighted work and the infringing material
Your contact information - name, number, email address
A statement in good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
A statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate
If your content is removed, you may file a counter-notice. Patchwork will restore the material within a reasonable time unless the complainant initiates legal proceedings. A policy of terminating accounts of repeat infringers is maintained.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Patchwork to:
Gain unauthorized access to any computer system, account, or data. The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act prohibits accessing protected computers without authorization, transmitting malware, and trafficking in access credentials or personally identifiable information. This includes attempting to bypass authentication, exploit vulnerabilities, or access other users' accounts.
Distribute obscene material to minors.
Transmit threats including kidnap or injury.
Engage in fraud. So don't lie on here.
Use automated systems to scrape, overload, or interfere with the operation of the platform.
Being a piece of shit. This includes participating in racism, misogyny, LGTBQIA+ hate, etc.
Sharing content that is generated by an Artificial Intelligence model, typically a Large Language Model but extended to Generative Image and Video models.
Privacy
Patchwork collects only what is necessary to operate the service: your account information, the content you create, and basic usage data. Patchwork does not sell your personal information to third parties; Patchwork hates that shit. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
Termination
Patchwork may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
